NCO and Bristol Beacon together

NCO and Bristol Beacon together

37 children took part in our collaboration with Bristol Beacon Music Hub, exploring Benjamin Britten’s Young Person’s Guide to the Orchestra with our music tutors, before performing side-by-side with our Under 14 Orchestra, the orchestra made up of NCO’s eldest musicians, as part of a big Family Concert at Bristol Beacon.

The young musicians aged between 8-12 explored specially arranged music and then joined NCO on the day of the concert, with more than 150 children playing together on stage and an audience full of not only family and friends but families new to NCO discovering the joy and power of a children’s orchestra!

Watch our video below to find out more.

“It’s been such an amazing opportunity for my daughter to be part of this event, it’s given her a greater appreciation of orchestral music and performance and really inspired her as a musician.”
