Help NCO to continue supporting young musicians for another 40 years
Our 40th birthday events have already enabled many of our 2018 members to enjoy fantastic new experiences.
From helping young musicians find their own creative voice...
- Under 13 Orchestra composed their own music via our No Place Like… NCO project in conjunction with the BBC Ten Pieces Project, captured here.
- Members are also arranging and performing music in foyer spaces before orchestral performances
…to growing their understanding of the importance of physical and mental health
- Members are working on movement and well-being techniques within courses.
- String players from our senior orchestras joined acclaimed violinist and proud NCO alumna Nicola Benedetti for an inspirational workshop and Q&A session.
Looking ahead, we have a series of amazing concerts and courses for children across the summer. The year culminates in our spectacular Winter Concert where Nicola Benedetti will join us again for a very special NCO Birthday performance in Queen Elizabeth Hall.
