The list of maestros joining NCO’s age-banded orchestras has been announced.
Our young musicians are in for a treat when they arrive at their spring and summer residential courses, not least because of the amazing conductors who will be guiding and inspiring them.
NCO was excited to announce that the following conductors will be participating in the 40th anniversary celebrations:
Spring:
Main Orchestra - Howard Williams
Under 13 Orchestra - Natalia Luis-Bassa
Under 12 Orchestra - Robert Hodge
Summer:
Main Orchestra - Jonathan Bloxham
Under 13 Orchestra - Peter Stark
Under 12 Orchestra - Natalia Luis-Bassa
Under 11 Orchestra - Andrew Morley
Under 10 Orchestra - Caroline Hobbs-Smith
Training Orchestra - Chloé van Soeterstède
Each conductor brings with them a wealth of experience and a unique style designed to bring out the best in every single one of our orchestra members. Further to this, the ratio of male to female conductors has gained NCO recognition in the industry for demonstrating gender balance. Most recently at the ABO Conference 2018, when NCO was also commended for its female leadership team comprising of Managing Director Sophie Lewis and Artistic and Educational Director Catherine Arlidge MBE.
