The concert marks the final event in the NCO 2016 calendar, and we’re excited to be performing in the capital at one of the UK’s most iconic venues. So, treat yourself to an astounding concert by 224 talented young musicians.
Beginning the concert in style, our Under 13 Orchestra will deliver an exciting and enchanting performance, conducted by the NCO's Artistic Director and Principal Conductor Roger Clarkson. Their thrilling programme includes:
Rachmaninoff – “Allegro Molto” from Symphony No. 2
Coates – London Suite
Rimsky-Korsakov – Capriccio Espagnol
Following the interval, our fabulous Main Orchestra will take to the stage with esteemed Guest Conductor Natalia Luis-Bassa. For the majority of the orchestra, this will be their last ever performance in an NCO age-banded orchestra. They will perform an exquisite selection of music guaranteed to entertain and impress:
Bernstein – Overture to Candide
Williams – Movements from Star Wars
Ginastera – Dances from Estancia
